Happy Valentine’s Day…be sure to surprise your “significant other” on the 14th. That could go a long way toward being able to make an upcoming ride in the near future!
1st Tuesday is coming up quick again…February 6th. I was unable to get the room at Spring Creek. It was booked for February & March. So I just went next door and checked El Fenix. They do have a room we can use. It’s not really a private room, but a separate section. I think it will work out fine though, besides it can’t hurt trying some Tex-Mex this month. What could possibly go wrong? El Fenix is right next door to Spring Creek BBQ. Their address is: 401 TX-114, Grapevine, TX 76051.
I don’t have any rides planned at this time. The weather is still iffy…so if I come up with something it will probably be a short notice event. Probably on a Wednesday for the following weekend. If anyone else has something in mind…be sure to post it here.
There is “Around the Bend” planned for March 22-25. Check out the thread for more info: http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115671
Hope to see you guys at El Fenix on Feb. 6th in Grapevine @7PM.
Get out and ride!
Sander is sponsoring another 2-day ride in his regular Adventure Ride Breakfast series. February’s ride is a 2 day, overnight starting in Center Point and overnighting in Menard.

Ladies and gentlemen, I wanted to let you all know that we are arranging a first aid training the weekend of the April 14 – 15 in McKinney. The training is specifically for motorcycle types of injuries.
Saturday, April 14th is a basic training course and takes 7 hours.
Sunday, April 15th is an advanced training course and also requires 7 hours.
Each course costs $60 and that includes books, certificates, etc, you just need to bring a packed lunch.
If you are interested in attending, please contact me (Gary Waugh) at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can send you to a link with more details about the training courses and answer any questions you might have.
Last year we had a lot of great rides, but when someone got hurt, is was very clear few riders had any form of first aid training, so I set this up to try and correct that situation. The course is run by a state registered nurse and the company is caller RoadGuardians.
Regards and best wishes for 2018
